I have a budget-friendly decoration idea that I used at my sister-in-law's baby shower: DIY floral centerpieces. They were a hit with the guests and we gave them away for baby shower prizes at the end of the shower!
To create the centerpieces, we started by gathering some inexpensive mason jars (you can get 12 for $15 at Walmart.) and a variety of fresh flowers from the local farmers' market. We chose flowers that matched the shower's color scheme, which was a mix of pinks, purples, and whites.
We filled each mason jar with water and added a few drops of floral preservative to keep the flowers fresh (this worked like a charm!) Then, we arranged the flowers in the jars, mixing different types and colors to create a lush and vibrant look. We used a mix of roses, carnations, daisies, and baby's breath, along with some greenery to add texture. Such a pretty combination.
To add a personal touch, we tied a piece of twine around the neck of each jar and attached a small tag with the baby shower details. We also added a few tea light candles in cute little holders around the centerpieces to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The floral centerpieces added a colorful vibe to the tables and made the room feel more festive and welcoming. Plus, they were easy to make and didn't break the bank - which I loved!
One of the best parts was that they also served as baby shower prizes! We created a simple baby shower game by putting a sticker on the bottom of one plate per table. The guest that had a sticker on the bottom of their plate won the centerpiece for that table! A great way for them to take a little keepsake home from the shower.
So if you're looking for a simple decoration idea for your baby shower, I highly recommend making these DIY centerpieces. They're easy to make, customizable to any color scheme, and are so cute!
"Creating my baby registry used to feel so overwhelming — there are so many choices, and I wasn’t sure where to start. But Amazon’s Baby Registry made everything so easy! I loved that I could add items from any website, and the universal registry feature made it super simple. Plus, the completion discount was a lifesaver for those last-minute additions. It was so reassuring knowing that I could return items if needed. It really took the stress out of the whole process! - And you get a New Baby Welcome Box, which was amazing!" - Lynn, new mom from Atlanta
