To start your watercolor baby shower off right, be sure to include a fun "beauty bar" filled with relaxing spa products!
Have cute little containers and bags for guests to scoop up bath salts and bath bombs to take home as baby shower favors.
To make this vibrant watercolor backsplash, simply cut several squares of watercolor paper and paint them with basic watercolor paints. Hang on the wall using glue dots or double-sided tape.
The pretty pastel "Watercolor Baby Shower" below, was designed by Kiira Turnbow, of Eye Heart Pretty Things.
Featuring beautiful decorations in creative water-color elaborations, Kiira takes the all too familiar accessories for a baby shower and adds a personal take on baby shower fun.
These are the most adorable hand-crafted cards. Kiira hand painted a sheet of paper with pastel water colors in teals, greens, yellows and pinks.
She then scanned it and used this design for all other paper goods. She used this one staple as the theme colors for designs for all the invites, drink signs, cake banners, birthday card, and the meal train sign-up sheet.
Examples are shown of the invitations as well as the sign-in sheets. Isn’t the white lettering on the colorful pastel background and vice versa so stylish.
This is such a wonderful way to elaborate without overdoing. Cut out circles in differently painted paper with a scalloped paper punch and scatter over a white table cloth as a colorful and creative decoration extra!
We have tons of festive "watercolor-themed" baby shower printables! Signs, games and decor! See them all here.
Water color chandelier! Take a white cardstock paper and paint with the water colors. Kiira reinforced the theme colors of teal, greens, yellows and pinks. Once the paper dried, she took the paper and placed it beneath 2 heavy books to make the paper completely flat.
The next day she punched out circles with a scalloped paper punch. For each of these circles, she poked one hole at the bottom and one at the top.
Kiira then took a silver ring to hook one circle to the next. She wanted the ombre effect and started with the pink shaded circles and ended with green shaded circles.
Once ten strands were created, each with the watercolor effect in her main pastel colors, she clasped them with a wire wreath frame.
Watercolor Baby Shower
What a lovely way to sign a note for the baby’s mom. The little wooden table has one of the drawers open with an outpouring of pastel colored clothing of different patterns and designs.
On the table itself is a wooden sign written on by a white chalk. Flowers in pinks and yellows are bunched together in a vase with a beautiful white bow wrapping.
The water color chandelier hangs next to beautiful rainbow of thick strings, in different colors, hanging down from a tree branch.
Even the cake is water colored! Kiira used three boxes of white cake mixes in two cups each for a total of six batches.
She then added food coloring to each. After baking, she layered each with thick butter cream frosting. So yummy and beautiful!
Kiira also added a unique bubbly bar. Guests can pick their favorite juices and fruits to create the flavor they want to create for their own personalized drink. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks were both present.
Milk and donuts anyone? Baby jars with chocolate milk had an added surprise on top-yummy glazed donuts. What a sweet drink and dessert in one!
Thank you Kiira for all these creative ideas. So many of these decorations, drinks and dessert ideas can be made by you too. Visit Kiira’s website, http://eyeheartprettythings.com, to learn more.
